The Factory — Practice 02

From idea to a private, production-grade AI product.

The Factory builds private AI products and hands them over. You bring an idea or a business problem; you leave with a system that runs, that is secured to standard, and that you fully own — your data, your model, your infrastructure. We call the process Idea-to-Product.

The process

Five stages. One handover.

Idea-to-Product is deliberately staged. Each stage has a defined output, so you can see the product taking shape — and decide whether to continue — at every step.

Frame

We pressure-test the idea: use case, data, real risk, residency constraints.

You receiveA written framing & recommended scope.

Architect

We design the system and its security together — private by design.

You receiveA solution architecture & security plan.

Build

Engineered on private infrastructure — data never touches a public cloud.

You receiveWorking software at agreed checkpoints.

Secure

Controls, ISO 42001 evidence, and audit trail built in as the product is built.

You receiveThe security & governance package.

Hand Over

You receive a running product, the documentation, and the keys. You own it.

You receiveA deployed product & clean handover.
Build tiers

Three ways in — matched to who you are.

The Idea-to-Product process is the same for everyone. How it is delivered, scoped, and priced is matched to the engagement.

Enterprise Build

Large organizations
What you get

A bespoke, senior-led build with a full SOC 2 / ISO 42001 evidence package — ready for your auditors and your customers' security reviews.

How it is engaged

Scoped per engagement; structured for enterprise procurement. Deployed to SAI's infrastructure, your own cloud tenancy, or on-premises.

Business Build

Mid-market companies
What you get

A fixed-scope, fixed-price private AI product, secured to ISO 42001, delivered and handed over to you.

How it is engaged

Scoped to a clear deliverable and a clear number before the build begins — no open-ended hourly billing.

Startup Build

Founders & small teams
What you get

A working, secure prototype built from a productized set of templates — fast, accessible, a real foundation to build or raise on.

How it is engaged

A lighter-touch, productized tier with a self-serve intake.

Government track available.  Top Secret cleared, ITSG-33 / FedRAMP — a specialized track for public-sector clients who need it.

Private infrastructure

Your data never touches a public cloud — and never trains someone else's model.

SAI owns and operates private NVIDIA DGX infrastructure. For a private AI build, that is the point. Your data, models, and prompts stay on infrastructure you can point to — no public-cloud inference endpoint, no foreign jurisdiction silently in the data path, no risk that your proprietary data becomes training fuel for a model your competitors also use. Where you require it, we deploy into your own cloud tenancy or on-premises instead.

What “private” rules out
No public-cloud inference endpoint in the data path
No foreign jurisdiction silently handling your data
No vendor terms that change next quarter
No proprietary data becoming a competitor's training fuel
Built during the work, not after
Security controls, mapped as the system is built
ISO 42001 governance evidence
Model and data lineage
Test evidence and an intact audit trail
Security & governance

The audit evidence is built, not back-filled.

On most AI projects, security and compliance are a scramble at the end — a rush to document a system never designed to be documented. The Factory inverts that. Controls, ISO 42001 governance, lineage, and test evidence are produced during the Build and Secure stages, as the product takes shape. When your biggest customer sends a vendor security questionnaire, you already have the answers.

Tell us the idea.

Every Factory engagement starts the same way: a short description of what you want to build and who it is for. We will tell you honestly whether it is a fit, which tier suits it, and what the Frame stage would involve.
